Sony Ericsson W8

Android phone rumors about Sony Ericsson's first Walkman is fulfilled. Sony Ericsson has just announced the first mobile phone from the Walkman series of Sony Ericsson W8 which runs the Android OS.

Just like his brother X8 Xperia, Sony Ericsson W8 also comes with a 3-inch capacitive touch screen resolution of 320x480 pixels, 3.5 mm headphone jack, and 3.2MP camera. Sony Ericsson also has a single-core 600MHz processor, with 168MB of RAM.

SE W8 still will run the Android 2.1, however this is the first Walkman phone that runs Google's mobile OS, which also will use the UI Timescape. Mobile Walkman W8 will also come with stereo headset Sony Ericsson, MH410.

Sony Ericsson W8 will be available in China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, India, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam starting from Q2 2011. The phone will be available in a choice of colors Azure Blue, Metallic Red, and Iconic Orange. Price is still unknown at this time.
